Valley Primary recognizes the importance of partnerships with its
stakeholders and community to provide an education aimed at the total
development of the students. By identifying emerging trends and demands
of the new world, we are able to put in place collaborative efforts that
provide mutual benefits to us and our partners.
These partnerships enable the school to leverage on the resources and expertise of these partners for a more enriching school experience for our students. Some of our major partners include our Parents Support Group which helps to organize and run many school activities and celebrations, such as the IT Programme, Reading Mums and Homecraft/Lifeskills Programme, MCYS for the School Family Education Programme, Singapore Tourism Board and Crescent Girls’ School for co-hosting the National E-Card Competition, National Institute of Education and Indiana University for the Quest Atlantis Project, Moral Welfare Home and NParks for our Community Involvement Programme, Mercy Relief for those affected by the Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina; and the Retired Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) to provide mentoring to students with social-emotional behavioral issues, and the National Environment Authority to exposure students to the concept of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, to name a few.
We are able to sustain our collaborative efforts with most of our partners through constant discussions and feedback sessions with them. The good rapport, mutual trust and understanding between the school and our partners are the key ingredients that help us to improve and deepen the quality of the partnership and to ensure their sustainability.
The school received the Partners' Award (Merit) in 2006.
