Welcome to our School
River Valley Primary School was established in 1985 when three primary schools, River Valley Chinese, River Valley English and Kim Seng merged to form one school with a pupil enrolment of 1700.
However, the pupil enrolment steadily declined to 1260 in 1995 due to demographic changes and lack of facilities. Between 1996 and 2000, the pattern of falling enrolment was reversed and the present enrolment stands at about 1600.
This increase could be attributed to a higher school profile when the school consistently achieved qualitative results in PSLE as well as P3 Screening Examination. The school is also on MOE's list of top 30 popular primary schools for admission of foreign students (1999).
