Mathematics Talent Development Programme (Math TDP)

At River Valley Primary School (RVPS), the Mathematics Talent Development is based on the Excellence 2000 (E2K) Mathematics Programme for Primary 4 and 5 students.

Through an inquiry approach, students can work independently or collaborate with their peers and engage in mathematical tasks such as puzzles and games that were designed for the workshop.

Objectives of the programme includes helping students to:

• Develop the habits, attitudes and dispositions mathematicians possess.

• Gain important 21st-century competencies such as critical thinking, invention thinking and effective communication skills.

• Cultivate and enhance a deeper interest in learning mathematics beyond the curriculum.
